Euro Arbeitsentgelte, wovon Lohnsteuern in Höhe von 3.604 Mrd. Euro (13,3 %) in die Staatskasse flossen. Infolge der Senkung der Lohnsteuer von 56 auf 42 % hat der Staat auf rund 430 Mrd. Euro Einnahmen verzichtet. Weiter hat Kohl ab 1991 die Börsenumsatzsteuer ersatzlos gestrichen und 1997 die Vermögensteuer „ausgesetzt“ (Destatis). Kohl, Schröder und Merkel haben dadurch auf rund 1.300 Mrd. Euro Steuereinnahmen verzichtet. Oder pro Legislaturperiode (4 Jahre) durchschnittlich auf 140 Mrd. Euro verzichtet.

Schröder führte mit Agenda 2010 Dumpinglöhne, Leiharbeit, Minijobs und Zeitarbeit ein. Damit schickt er einen großen Teil der Beschäftigten und zukünftige Rentner, mit fallenden Bemessungsgrenzen für Renten bis 2040 auf 43 %, in Altersarmut. Schröder und Merkel haben Deutschland zum Niedrigrentenland und Niedriglohnland Nummer 1 in der EU gemacht.
