Dass die Türkei zu den beliebtesten Reisezielen der deutschen Urlauber zählt, hat uns stets gefreut. Im vergangenen Jahr befanden sich die Deutschen mit fünf Millionen Besuchern an zweiter Stelle der ausländischen Gäste. Dieses Jahr erleben wir schwierige Zeiten. Wir möchten jedoch mit den Maßnahmen, die wir treffen, unsere deutschen Freunde wieder in unserem Land begrüßen. Uns ist bewusst, dass in diesen Zeiten für einen sicheren und unbeschwerten Urlaub alle Bedingungen stimmen müssen. Deshalb strengen wir uns umso mehr an; wir tun mehr, als erforderlich wäre.

Zunächst möchte ich anmerken, dass das Virus COVID-19, das am 11. März zu einer globalen Pandemie erklärt wurde, mittlerweile sowohl in der Türkei als auch in Deutschland unter Kontrolle gebracht worden ist. Das türkische Gesundheitssystem hat sich in dieser schweren Krise behauptet. Die Kapazitäten unserer Krankenhäuser haben mit ihren Intensivbetten und Behandlungsprotokollen die Prüfung erfolgreich bestanden.
